We need both an innovation and a revolution
We explore new paradigms in human capital development, fueled by globalization, the rise of innovative knowledge societies, and driven by exponential, accelerating change. With a strong, networked virtual and physical footprint, Education Futures collaborates with creatives, thought leaders, innovators, and learning organizations (i.e., schools, universities, non-formal networks) to create new opportunities for global human capital development.
We look at the big picture from a systems perspective and question: What are we educating for? What does a global citizen of the 21st and 22nd centuries look like? And when we start looking hard at these questions, we realize that we need to focus on how to learn, not what to learn, and this refocusing on the how necessitates a more meaningful ecology of options. Where the broadened ecology intersects with purpose, we start to see new pathways to emerging education formats that have incredible potential: invisible learning, democratic education, critical pedagogy, unschooling, etc. This is where we connect research with action.
We are ambitious. We aim to transform schools into vibrant, visionary, hard-charging, front-running, and value-creating centers of excellence that everybody will be proud to attend, work for, and collaborate with. We practice what we preach. We advocate for open dialogue and networking. Whenever possible, we release our original research into the creative domain so that you can get moving now, and invite you to remix and share alike. We want to co-generate value with you.
When working on organizational development, technology planning, curriculum development and internal research, most organizations do not maintain a staff of professional futurists, researchers, and innovation experts — we can help.
